5 DIY Makeup Products We Tested(It Worked)

DIY are all about fun and even if they don’t turn out to be successful ,it leaves us with nothing to loose because it costs nothing on our wallet! Here are few makeup DIY you which are tried and tested by Neeharika Awasthi and won’t leave disappointed!

DIY Eyeshadow Primer

This DIY is known to be a dupe of urban decay eyeshadow primer but even if it don’t turn out to be a 100 percent dupe of urban decay eyeshadow primer for you, The consistency and quality of this one will not disappoint you and is worth it! All you have to do is take 3 pumps of a bright foundation, 1/3 part of chap stick (non coloured lip balm stick) chop a little slice of it, and a little amount of baby powder/corn starch. Mix all the ingredients well and make sure no ingredient is in more quantity than needed, we generally don’t need much of eyeshadow primer at once so make sure you don’t make the mixture more than a jar size. We tried this and it does work wonderfully! Just don’t do a mistake of using Vaseline instead of chap stick or you’ll end up getting greasy eye lids.

DIY Body Bronzer

5 DIY Makeup Products We Tested(It Worked)

A trend started among YouTubers to dupe Fenty’s body lava. People showed different techniques like using baby oil, cream and Almond oil. But the best that worked was using aloe Vera. Oil was a little greasy to handle for summer. All you have to do is mix 10 percent of water with aloe Vera gel to make it more liquidy and then add any dark/bronzed shimmer powder. You can get the individual shimmer jars for less than 20 rupees in any local beauty store, it doesn’t have to be branded any cosmetic shimmer powder will work. You can even mix multiple colours like bronze gold, beige and brown from any old expired eye shadow palette. Mix Aloe Vera with shimmer and blend them evenly to make it one colour. You’ll get a beautiful bronze liquidy shine. The best part about this mixture is that aloe Vera will moisturise and the excess gel shine will evaporate and you’ll be left with a healthy bronzy glow on your body that will also make you look a little tanned.

DIY Makeup Remover

Now this makeup remover is not just a form of makeup remover but it will also work as oil cleansing. All you have to do is pick non comedogenic oils and a mild light moisturiser. We don’t suggest coconut oil because coconut oil clogs pores on some people and leads to acne. Oils like baby oil, Castor oil, grapeseed oil are light in consistency and good for acne prone skin . Take a 100 ml bottle and equally mix baby oil, Castor oil and any lotion. Make sure you use a light oil based lotion and not a thick cream or moisturiser as it will be harder for you to mix them well. Lotion will balance out the oil consistency and will make the mixture a little thicker. This makeup remover will balance out the oil level on your face , provide moisture and oils will not just remove makeup but they work amazingly as deep cleansing agents.

DIY Mist /Setting Spray

5 DIY Makeup Products We Tested(It Worked)

This is again a popular DIY that we tried and it turned out to be successful. It’s known to be a dupe of Mac fix plus. All you have to do is mix two ingredients together. Take rose water and mix three table spoon of vegetable glycerine in it and your fix plus is ready to use. The good thing about this multi purpose spray is you can use it before or after doing makeup , wet brushes to intensify shadows and solely use it as a hydrating mist on bare face.

DIY Eyeshadow or Highlighter

5 DIY Makeup Products We Tested(It Worked)

Its another popular DIY that we tried. Now all you need for making your own palette or eyeshadow singles is shimmer powder, rubbing alcohol/rose water, baby powder and Almond oil. Take small jar or a big container (depending upon weather you want to make highlighter or eyeshadow). Keep the proportion as 75 % shimmer powder ,15 % baby powder and don’t use more than one drop of Almond oil. Mix the solution well until it looks even and then use rubbing alcohol or rose water to press it. Make sure you don’t add a lot of rubbing alcohol /rose water as the more liquidy it will be the more time it will take to dry. The usage of one drop of Almond oil will make the pressed mixture smoother when you will apply it on face.
