Akshay Kumar Donates 25 Crores Towards PM’s Coronavirus Fund

On Saturday, PM Modi had announced PM-CARES Fund. He urged ‘people from all walks of life’ to express their desire to donate to India’s war against COVID-19. Respecting the spirit, the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund was constituted, which is expected to go a long way in creating a healthier India.

Akshay Kumar joins the Covid-19 fight with an Rs. 25 crores donation to PM’s relief fund. His wife Twinkle Khanna says she is proud of him. Akshay said he is donating the amount from his savings. It is one of the biggest gestures by a B-town celebrity. On Saturday, he pledged to donate Rs. 25 crores in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Akshay said that he will contribute the donation amount to PM Narendra Modi’s relief fund from his savings.

‘This is that time when all that matters is the lives of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute 25 crores from my savings to @narendramodi ji’s PM-CARES Fund. Let’s save lives, Jaan hai toh jahaan hai.’ This is what he posted.

Columnist and author Twinkle Khanna lauded her husband’s gesture and said she was very proud of him. She also wrote that he didn’t think twice about making this donation. She took it to Twitter and wrote, ‘The man makes me proud. When I asked him if he was sure as it was a massive amount and we needed to liquidate funds, he just said, ‘I had nothing when I started and now that I am in this position, how can I hold back from doing whatever I can for those who have nothing.’

The PM-CARES Fund accepts micro-donations too. It will strengthen disaster management capacities and encourage research on protecting citizens. So, it’s time for all of us to get together and leave no stone unturned to make India healthier and more prosperous for our future generations.

Akshay Kumar shared a link about the fund; he said that PM-CARES Fund accepts micro-donations as well. PM Modi assures that this fund will cater to similar distressing situations if they occur in the times ahead. Akshay has been repeatedly urging citizens to co-operate with the government during the 21-days nationwide lockdown.
But to this great gesture by Akshay, fans have started questioning other big stars like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan which is wrong. Not everyone likes to speak about their philanthropic deeds. But there is a thing like during such situations people with money and influencing power must come up. It helps the country.

Producer Nikhil Dwivedi gave a benefitting reply to it and mentioned that all of them do charity. He also revealed that he is shocked to know about Salman’s foundation which does a lot of charity. He wrote, ‘SalmanKhan’s BeingHuman foundation works round the year. Once, I was sceptical of it. In recent years I had the opportunity of observing it closely and was pleasantly shocked at the kind of monies it spent. It’s a sincere charity. SRK spends substantially too. So does Mr Bachchan.’
