Bollywood Blind Items: Director Thinks That Franhcise's Story Is Outdated

The latest installment of a super hit movie franchise was launched recently. Pics of the lead stars at the shoot quickly went viral. But if our sources are to be believed, the director has admitted that there is no basic premise for the movie under production! The producer of the franchise is now in the process of hiring ghostwriters for the movie. The idea that the producer had floated to the director was shot down by him. The director found the idea to be "outdated & stupid". The director in question delivered a huge hit last year. That movie too was a sequel & starred a young heartthrob. The producer probably had no option but to listen to the hit director's opinion. The franchise in question stars a top superstar who has been in horrible form at the box office. The other star is now semi-retired & is no longer capable of shouldering a movie on his own. The third actor is a hugely talented character actor.

There were rumors of the movie starring the aforementioned young heartthrob was doing the rounds. It seems like it was a ploy to pressurize the superstar to reduce his fees & star in the movie. Many fans too wrote on social media as to how the franchise will be incomplete without the top superstar being a part of it. Finally, the superstar relented & agreed to star in the movie. The producer was in a huge financial mess a few years back. We hope for the sake of all the stakeholders involved, the movie succeeds in a big way. Apart from the director & the character actor, all others are in bad shape.
