Amazon Studios To Produce Akshay Kumar's Ram Setu & Tiger Shroff's Next

AMAZON STUDIOS have decided to accelerate their operations in India and have finalised their involvement as producers for TWO new films for theatrical medium post formally entering into film production through RAM SETU starring Akshay Kumar, Nushratt Bharuucha and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead.

The first, being an ACTION THRILLER to be shot globally on a huge scale which will star TIGER SHROFF in the lead. Directed by ANURAG SINGH (Kesari), the film will go on floors in JULY 2022 and will be wrapped up by OCTOBER. A big HOLLYWOOD actor is being in talks to play the role of ANTAGONIST in the film, whose name hasnt been revealed yet. The film will be shot in multiple countries and pre production is currently undergoing. Tiger is currently working on simultaneously completing HEROPANTI 2 and GANAPATH. The first film has a week's work left while GANAPATH would be wrapped up by APRIL. TIGER is also likely to commence shoot for Ali Abbas Zafar's BADE MIYAN CHOTE MIYAN, co-starring AKSHAY KUMAR from NOVEMBER 2022.
The second, being a crime comedy titled 'KANEDA', starring SUNNY KAUSHAL and AMIT SADH in the lead, which will be produced in partnership with CLEAN SLATE FILMZ (Anushka and Karnessh Sharma) and will be directed by PROSIT ROY and NAVDEEP SINGH serving as Creative Producer for the film. The film will go on floors after the completion of NETFLIX film 'CHAKDA EXPRESS', which stars ANUSHKA SHARMA as JHULAN GOSWAMI.
As far as RAM SETU is concerned, The action-adventure drama, produced in association with Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, and Lyca Productions, that brings forward a story deeply rooted in Indian culture and historical heritage will be released in cinemas on DIWALI 2022, followed by an OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Video TWO weeks later.
