Hera Pheri is one of the most admired franchises. Currently, its third installment, which is named Hera pheri 3, is a matter of discussion everywhere. It is a sequel to the film Phir Hera Pheri released in 2006.

The movie shooting is yet to go on the floors, and before that, there are many complications and not any official confirmation from the makers who will dominate which role, will direct the movie. A few weeks ago, there was also news that Kartik Aryan will replace Akshay Kumar in the sequel.

But now, Anees Bazmee who directed Bhool Bhualiyaa 2, has admitted in his most recent interview that he was contacted to helm Hera Pheri 3. The director said the producers want him to direct the picture but haven't decided whether Kartik Aaryan or Akshay Kumar will star.

The filmmaker said in an interview that "I have been approached to direct Hera Pheri 3. We are working out my dates. The producers haven’t told me about Kartik Aaryan or Akshay. They told me that they want me to direct the movie. So I asked them how we work out the dates. I have already directed two films for them - Welcome and Welcome Back. They want me to make Welcome 3 also. Currently, I am busy with a couple of my films. Let’s see what works out and how."

According to a source who spoke to the same outlet, Kartik Aaryan has not yet given his final "Yes" to the Hera Pheri 3 script. He will make a final decision after reading the film's final script.He continued by saying that they intended to begin production on the movie in January 2023.

Fans are anxiously awaiting the official announcement from the producers following all the turmoil surrounding the casting of Hera Pheri 3.
