The trailer of ALTBalaji’s dark, edgy show Gandii Baat garners unprecedented views in just 24 hours!

In just 24 hours the streaming now trailer of ALTBalaji’s new show Gandii Baat – Urban stories from rural India, has crossed over one million views on YouTube. The streaming now trailer was unveiled yesterday and since then has been climbing the trending list on YouTube to finally trend on the number one spot with about 2 million people viewing it.

Despite not being a film trailer and not having any big faces from B-Town in it, the trailer of Gandii Baat getting such unprecedented views, is a record in itself. With this show ALTBalaji also becomes the first OTT platform in India to explore the anthology format.

The show will explore unusual stories from the rural parts of India and has been shot at real locations. Be it the cast, the costumes or the shooting locales, the look and feel of the show is quite authentic and rustic. Each episode will tell a different story about relationships and taboos. It will explore topics that exist in every section of the society but are never spoken about or discussed openly.

Directed by Sachin Mohite of ‘Savdhaan India’ fame, the show stars Anant Joshi, Narayani Shastri, Vikas Verma, Neetha Shetty, Rohit Choudhary, Rajesh Tripathi, Deepika Khanna, Mrinalini Tyagi, Naveen Pandita, Vaibhav Shah, Nirban Goswami and all episodes of the show are streaming now on the app and the website.
