This Upcoming Movie ‘No Means No’ has ‘Soul Touching Songs’ Music by Hariharan, Directed by Vikash Verma
A few days ago, I came across a trailer of an Indo-Polish venture film, set to release this November. But there is uncertainty over theatres opening anytime soon. So the release date is unknown as of now.
The movie is mostly shot in the locales and chilling -30 degree Celsius of Poland. The movie has an ensemble cast including Gulshan Grover (he has worked in more than 500 Hollywood and Bollywood movies), Deep Raj Rana (Indian), Sharad Kapoor (Indian), Bollywood action hero Dhruv Verma (Indian), Natalia Bak (Polish), Anna Guzik (Polish), Slywia Czech (Polish), actor Pawel Czech (Polish), actor Jersey Handzlik (Polish), Nazia Hassan (actor Sanjay Dutt’s niece), Anna Ador (Polish) and Kat Kristian (Polish).
Today, I want to look a little bit to what went into the making of this movie, especially the sound scores. This movie ‘No Means No’ is directed by Mr Vikash Verma and is reportedly amongst the most expensive movies made in Bollywood.
Today, I am going to tell you about the music of this upcoming blockbuster film. Now as it goes in a reflex, every time music is mentioned I happen to think about the legendary Mr Hariharan. And we are honoured to say that he has given music in this film. You may know him by his beautiful albums from the amazing films like ‘Bombay’ and ‘Roza’.
Great news, his son Mr Akshay Hariharan is the music producer of ‘No Means No’. Karan Hariharan is also one of the singers of the movie.
Rishav Nagh has also made a bulk of songs in this movie ‘No Means No’.
Now let me tell you about the fabulous list of singers for the movie. First is the gorgeous, both vocally and physically, Shreya Ghoshal. She happens to be the only Indian singer to have a wax statue in Madame Tussauds. She has been honoured by the United States state of Ohio, where Governor Ted Strickland declared 26 June 2010 as ‘Shreya Ghoshal Day’. In April 2013, she was honoured in London by the selected members of House of Commons of the United Kingdom. She has also featured five times in the Forbes list of the top 100 celebrities from India.
Next is Mr Arvinder Singh, you may know him from the singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’, as a judge. He is known for his power of mesmerizing the audience while singing. Arvinder is popular for his all-time hit album ‘Paani Sharab Mein’. He was also seen as a jury member at Zee Tv’s ‘Saregamapa’.
Hariharan Ji thought that following where the movie has been shot, the sound scores should also have a distinctly European feel in it. He made liberal use of cellos and pianos to bring out the sound of European instrumentals. And he also got some of the best singers from Germany, Belarus and other parts of Europe to get the best background scores.
Now with this much of talent and hard-work concentrated in one movie, my anticipation has been raised high. I hope you all are just as excited as I am for the release of this movie.
