Guess Who: This Hero Is Jealous Of His Mentee

Mumbai Mirror has published a blind item about a superstar who is jealous of his mentee & has thus chopped off his scenes out of insecurity.

This blind item made us chuckle. Firstly, the mentor mentioned in the blind item has been around more almost two decades. He gave sleepless nights to the ruling triumvirate, before personal problems led to a blip in his career. He has bounced back with two back to back hits. His upcoming movie along side his mentee looks like a winner all the way. He is known for his greek god looks, superb dancing & acting skills. While the mentee to has made his mark with his super hit action movies, he has a long way to go as far as acting & box office prowess is concerned. The mentee’s last film underperformed. Barring action movies, he has not been able to showcase his versatility. To insinuate that the superstar is jealous of his mentee is absurd. Although it is possible that vanity is getting the better of the superstar & this is making him give himself more screen time vis-a-vis his co-stars.

The junior among the two seems to be upset over the superstar getting more screen time. He is probably not comfortable with taking it up directly with his mentor. He has chosen the best way to get his message across – blind items. But it is also possible that the studio is planting these blind items to create a buzz.

FOR too long this hero and his super-hero mentor have been great pals, showing off a healthy camaraderie that’s such a rarity in the industry. But now we hear their vanity has got the better of them. The mentee, it seems, has become even more successful than the mentor, making the latter rather jealous and insecure. A film they are working on together has seen the older star chop scenes of the younger one, in a bid to extend his own part. Tsk, tsk.
