Guess Who: WAG Wore A Burqa To Anti-CAA Rally

Mumbai Mirror has published a blind item about a celeb wife who wore a burqa to participate in an anti-CAA rally.

The wife is a star kid. Her father was considered to be India’s first superstar. Her father was also a politician. He was a member of a party which prides itself for being secular & the go-to party for people from minority religions. Her husband – a superstar as well, on the other hand is a big supporter of the PM. While he doesn’t openly admit to it, his actions leave little doubt in people’s minds. Unlike what people believe, we don’t think they have chosen opposite sides intentionally. Considering that the current dispensation is a polarizing one, it is very normal for family members to take opposite sides. So while the husband “accidentally” liked a tweet which spoke against the police action on students & later apologized, the wife attended an anti-CAA rally wearing a burqa as to not create trouble for very famous husband. The husband after all has a huge release coming up & wouldn’t want to do anything to upset the fans of the PM, who recently won a huge mandate.

But one must admit, that bollywood celebs have been making fools of themselves by not reading up on the issue before protesting about it. It is embarrassing to see a noted filmmaker-actor not know why exactly why he is protesting against the bill. Another filmmaker said on camera that our population is 1300cr!

Like others we too fell into the trap laid by the husband. Before every other release it has become commonplace to see blind items which hint at some actress planning to out the superstar-husband. But then nothing comes off it. it was once rumored that the husband paid 10cr+ to an actress to shut her up. Did he manage to gag this other actress as well? Or was it a ploy to create a buzz around his latest movie?

Anybody who is active on social media must be have seen the superstar’s husband’s fans making nasty comments on another superstar. Truth is there is a cold war going on between the superstar husband & the other superstar – the reigning box office king. The box office king’s ex-manager is now managing the superstar husband. The box office king’s latest release opened to mixed reviews. It is unlikely that his movie will go the kind of business it was expected to. The anti-CAA rallies across the nation are reported to have caused a further dent in its business. If the superstar-husband’s upcoming movie, which is about to release this week, turns out to gross 250cr+, he can stake claim to the box office throne. Sadly the superstar husband’s movies rarely cross 250cr+. He needs 250cr+ movies to dethrone the reigning box office king. Unlikely, if you ask us.

EVEN as celebrities have been getting a shout-out to throw their weight behind the anti-CAA protests, little do people know the kind of pressure they are under to toe the government’s line. But there are indeed some brave enough to have their cake and eat it too. Like this missus of a wellknown actor. The lady showed up at August Kranti Maidan last week in a burqa. Cowardly or gutsy? We say the latter, for sure. For, not all heroes wear capes, some wear burqas too.
