Hypocrisy Of Left Wing Celebs Exposed

By outrightly denying that Mumbai is unsafe, the hypocrisy of left-leaning celebs stands exposed.

We had earlier written an article bashing right wing’s darling – Kangana Ranaut for milking Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. I got labeled as a paid journo. Despite presenting several facts, her fans were just not ready to change their mind. I am not expecting much from the fans of left-leaning celebs either.

When Aamir Khan & Naseeruddin Shah Cried Intolerance

Barely a year after Narendra Modi led BJP won a resounding victory at the general elections in 2014, Aamir Khan mentioned in an interview how he thinks that intolerance in India was rising. He went on to mention how his wife – Kiran Rao too wondered whether they should quit the country! This did not go down well the citizens of the country, especially the majority Hindu population who outraged against the star, which led to Snapdeal canceling their multi-million dollar contract with Aamir Khan.

But while the citizens outraged left-leaning journos like Rajdeep Sardesai, Sagarika Ghosh, Nidhi Razdan, Dia Mirza, etc came out in his support. Many intellectuals scoffed at the majority who were not ready to see that the minorities in the country were feeling threatened. “Only when every citizen from a minority community feels safe moving around can a country truly be secular”, they said. Every violent death of a citizen belonging to a minority community in some corner of the country was used to push forward the idea of rising intolerance.

Naseeruddin Shah too went public with his fears just a few months before the general elections in 2019. He spoke about him never forced his religion on his kids & that his kids had started questioning him about their religion. He claimed that this happened only thanks to the BJP.

Truth is that the BJP had little to do with this phenomenon of people spreading hate on social media. With easy access to the internet & cheap data charges, every Indian was speaking his/her mind out on social media. People across religions were bullying people from other religions. But Hindus being 80% of the population & a largely Hindu party – the BJP was blamed by these left-leaning liberal citizens & celebs for it.

The Indian voter too didn’t buy the cried of Naseeruddin Shah, Aamir Khan, Dia Mirza, etc & voted back PM Narendra Modi to power with a higher number of seats!

Kangana Questions Whether Mumbai Is Safe For Her

Kangana Ranaut – who has been attacking Bollywood celebs vigorously especially after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, mentioned how Mumbai was probably unsafe for her now. She mentioned how she feels that Mumbai looks more like Pakistan Occupied Kashmir! This did not go down well with Sanjay Raut, who asked her to leave Mumbai if she finds it unsafe. Kangana being the astute politician that she has turned that statement on Shiv Sena’s head

Then came the barrage of support for Mumbai & its cops from the left-leaning celebs

The Truth

If Naseeruddin Shah & Aamir Khan are right to fear for their lives, all thanks to a few stray incidents in some remote parts of the country, then why is Kangana wrong? Just like every citizen from the minority community needs to feel safe, doesn’t every woman need to feel safe?

Fear sometimes has no rationale. A Muslim man/woman may feel fear when he reads about people from his community being killed over their religion, but a Hindu citizen may not relate to this fear. Similarly, Kangana Ranaut may fear for her life after she comes back to Mumbai, but other celebs may not relate to it.

Doesn’t Shiv Sena have a history of violence? Is too far fetched to imagine that Kangana may get harmed once she is back in Mumbai for hurling allegations about the cops & the establishment?

These left-leaning celebs are out in support of Mumbai & Mumbai’s cops only because a right-leaning celeb like Kangana Ranaut is calling it unsafe when a non-BJP government is in power. Had Kangana labeled Mumbai as unsafe for her when the BJP government was in power in Maharashtra, these very celebs would have come out in her support.

These left-leaning celebs will share videos of an American journo grilling President Donal Trump & exhort the liberal values prevalent in America. They will cheekily mention how PM Modi too should learn from them. But they will never question Rajdeep Sardesai or a Rajeev Shukla for going soft on Sonia Gandhi. I can’t recollect a single interview where Mrs. Gandhi was grilled by these left-leaning journos. None of these celebs protested & questioned the attack on freedom of speech when Arnab Goswami was questioned for 10hrs by the cops for calling Mrs. Gandhi by her birth name!

Truth is that Bollywood too has been split into factions. The right-wing celebs are fake & milk every opportunity to endear themselves to PM Modi & the BJP. Don’t be shocked if they stop supporting them if & when they lose power. None of the right-wing celebs ever mock or question the opposition parties. Everybody knows why!

The left-leaning celebs on the other hand are outright hypocrites. They will oppose every movie of PM Modi’s government whether good or bad. They will not question the Shiv Sena over the huge number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra but instead laud one gender-neutral signal sign installed by Aditya Thackeray. The “first-ever” forest in the middle of Mumbai is a huge achievement if they are to be believed. Renowned celebs like Anurag Kashyap, Anubhav Sinha, etc take potshots on a daily basis. Why these celebs are so into taking on the establishment on each & every issue is beyond us.

How we wish we had celebs who would react to the situation at hand based on what is right or wrong & not their ideology. An Arnab who questions Modi about the economy or a Rajdeep who questions Mrs. Gandhi on her corruption cases!

Be it left-leaning celebs or right-leaning celebs both are equally despicable. Kangana, Arnab, Rajdeep, Richa Chadha, Dia Mirza, Anurag Kahyap, Anubhav Sinha, Akshay Kumar, Naseeruddin Shah, Aamir Khan are all two sides of the same coin. Both spread hate & both are big-time opportunists. Beware!
