Is Katrina Using Her Affair With Ranbir For Publicity Or Is She A Victim

Katrina Kaif recently was in the news for her saying that it was her ex beau Ranbir Kapoor who taught her how to use instagram. She earlier lost her cool on being asked whether she praised Ranveer to irk Ranbir. Is she using her affair with Ranbir to stay in the news or is she a victim of the media glare? Katrina Kaif has been on of the most popular Bollywood actresses for a decade and half. She ‘Boom'-ed into Bollywood and there has been no looking back. She started off with roles opposite already established stars. Her association with Salman Khan surely gave her the required exposure very early in her career. As she broke up with Salman, naturally all hell broke loose. It was hard for Salman to believe that yet another gorgeous woman had chosen to leave him, the other one being Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Soon after their break up speculations filled the air that she was dating Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir was then actually in a relationship with Deepika Padukone. Now, things got really messy and out of the hand when this news went viral. Deepika was left heartbroken and the break up had actually caused her to go through serious depression. Deepika was not in a great phase of her career then whereas Katrina was at the top of her game. Naturally, the two ladies avoided each other and maintained a strictly diplomatic and formal relationship.

Fast forward a few years. There they were Ranbir and Deepika teasing one another at the promotionals of their slice of life movie, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. And at the very same time to break the internet came a picture of Ranbir and Katrina holidaying on a beach in the Mediterranean. He was in shorts and she was in a white and orange bikini. And yes, it literally broke the internet. That picture was supposedly leaked- the two lovebirds had no intention of sharing their private moments with the world. But there it was -viral on the net. Though their relationship was like a open secret, many believed it to be a fake story. The picture proved them all wrong. Later, Ranbir's cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan said stuff that were enough to make Ranbir go pink on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan. Kareena seamlessly said that she wanted to dance to Sheila Ki Jawaani and Chikni Chameli at Ranbir and Katrina's wedding. The hint didn't go unnoticed.

But then all of a sudden the media came to know of the eventual break up of the two. Though the details of the break up was not as vivid as the one with Deepika, the fingers were all pointed towards Ranbir. All thanks to his playboy image.

Well in all these years in the B-Town, one thing is exceptionally clear and well understood by the ladies. If you need the limelight on yourself, you gotta be RK's girlfriend. Now no matter how hard she tries, Katrina cannot hide the fact that she has indeed lost the Bollywood Queen throne to her contemporaries, be it Deepika or Alia. Her roles in movies are insignificant and the most she does nowadays in cinema is to shake a leg looking sizzling hot. So she is using other factors to stay relevant in these competitive times.

She blatantly states that it is Ranbir who taught her use Instagram. Katrina states on Arbaaz Khan's chat show, Pinch, that Ranbir in fact has a fake account to stalk people. While we know that RK is totally inactive on social media, erm, well at least by his real identity, Kat too was a late bloomer as far as the photo blogging website is concerned. She only debuted on Instagram in 2017. She added, “I am not trying to be Ms Goody Two Shoes. I'm not some extraterrestrial being. I do go through my own share of pain and angst. But I see no point in holding a grudge. Whoever it is, I don't see the point of holding onto anything unpleasant from the past. I would rather let bygones be bygones. I don't think anyone is out there to hurt me.”

The two parted ways in 2016 over “unresolved issues” after dating for 7 years. We wonder what makes her say these after all these years. Only a couple of months back she had created a buzz when she said that Vicky Kaushal and herself would make a good pair onscreen and the rumours were rife that her closeness to Vicky had actually resulted in his break up with dancer-girlfriend Harleen Sethi. So why now all of a sudden dragging Ranbir to stir a buzz? We wonder.

Well, as we said, perhaps, being RK's girlfriend grabs more eyeballs than anything else.
