Aditi Chatterjee was born on the 26th of September 1976 in Kolkata, India. She did her schooling at South Point School. At a very young age, her interest in acting, which grew into a career, er was seen in a water ballet performance that was aired on Doordanish. That early performance was the key to her first break into acting in the TV production of Giribala in 1987.

Breakthrough in Films

By the 1990s, Aditi had entered Bengali cinema, which she did by playing Kabita in the film Bhalobasar Ashroy (1994). In 199,7, she got wider attention with two lead roles in  Shrutakirti in the Hindi film Lav Kush and Trina in Rituparno Ghosh’s award-winning film Dahan.
