Ranjitha, originally named Sri Valli, is an Indian actress known for her work in Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu cinema, as well as television. Born on June 4, 1975, she began her acting career with a Telugu film titled "Kadapa Reddemma" and made her Tamil debut in Bharathiraja's 1992 film "Nadodi Thendral." Throughout the 1990s, she portrayed lead roles in Tamil cinema before transitioning to supporting roles in films and lead roles in television shows from 2001 onwards.

In 2000, Ranjitha married Army Major Rakesh Menon and briefly retired from acting. However, she returned to the industry in 2001. Her personal life became subject to controversy due to her alleged involvement with Swami Nithyananda, which garnered attention when Sun TV released a video purportedly showing her with Swami Nithyananda.

Subsequently, she separated from her husband in 2007 and took up sannyasa under Swami Nithyananda on December 27, 2013, adopting the name "Nithyananda Moyi" and serving as a Sri Mahant at Nithyananda Dhyanapeetham.

Ranjitha's career spans both cinema and television, with notable appearances in films like "Jai Hind," "Karnaa," "Amaidhi Padai," "Maavichiguru," and "Periya Marudhu." She also acted in various television shows such as "Krishnadasi," "Roja," and "Thekkathi Ponnu," where she portrayed significant characters.

Throughout her career, Ranjitha has been recognized for her talent, receiving accolades such as the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1996 for her performance in "Maavichiguru."
