Anjali Tendulkar is also a pediatrician. She is well known as the wife of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. Born on 10 November 1967, she belongs to one of Mumbai's influential Gujarati families. She was educated through Bombay International School and then went on to secure her medical qualification following her passion for the field of health care.

She hails from an affluent family. Her father, Anand Mehta, was an established businessman and industrialist engaged in the construction of bridges. Her mother, Annaben Mehta, who belongs to Britain, also runs an NGO called 'Apnalaya,' that deals with social welfare and charity work. Anjali is the only daughter of Anand and Annaben. Her great-grandfather had been a rich landlord.

Anjali Tendulkar has a long history with the Nehru-Gandhi family, as she met both Rajiv and Sonia Gandhi as a child through her influence and social circle.

Marital Life and Family:
Anjali met Sachin Tendulkar in 1990 at the airport. They clicked wonderfully. They went out for five years and then mutually agreed to get married. They tied their bond forever in the year 1995.

Anjali and Sachin are blessed with two little ones: a daughter named Sara Tendulkar and a son named Arjun Tendulkar. Arjun is the son, who is nothing but a typical replicator of his father's original mould-a cricket player.

Anjali Tendulkar owns one beautiful bungalow on Bhulabhai Desai Road in Mumbai, considered to be one of the most luxurious residential properties in the city.

She has deep roots both from Gujarat and mother's British ancestry.
