Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, known affectionately as Bageshwar Dham Maharaj and Balaji Maharaj, was born on July 4, 1996, in the village of Gadha, situated in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, India. At 27 years old, he stands as a revered figure, particularly as the head of the Bageshwar Dham Temple in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, drawing admiration and devotion from a vast following.

From his early years, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri exhibited a remarkable ability to captivate audiences and influence people. Fondly referred to as Bageshwar Dham Maharaj, he was deeply devoted to Lord Hanuman ji and possessed a magnetic presence even as a child. It is said that he would immerse himself in storytelling sessions within his village, gradually honing his skills until he narrated his first Bhagwat Geeta story in 2009. This marked the beginning of his journey as a revered storyteller, as he expanded his reach to neighboring villages, captivating audiences with his narratives.

Aside from his spiritual pursuits, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has garnered recognition for his literary and cultural contributions. Fluent in languages including Bundeli, Sanskrit, Hindi, and English, he has enriched the cultural landscape with his writings and orations, delving into themes of spirituality and human nature.

Despite his acclaim, Shastri remains deeply rooted in his familial ties and humble beginnings. Born into a Brahmin family, he was raised in the same village where he continues to reside alongside his family. His parents, Ramkripal and Saroj Garg, along with his siblings, Saligram Garg and Rita Garg, have been integral to his journey, with his grandfather, Bhagwan Das Garg (Setu Lal), serving as his first teacher, instilling in him a love for the scriptures.

The transition from Dhirendra to Bageshwar Maharaj was marked by a pivotal moment in his life when he chose to devote himself to the ancient temple of Lord Shankar ji in his village. With the support of local villagers, he organized a grand Yagya in 2016, culminating in the establishment of the revered Bageshwar Dham. His reputation as a spiritual guide grew exponentially, attracting devotees from far and wide, drawn by his ability to perceive their concerns and offer solace.

In recognition of his tireless efforts to promote spiritual awareness and serve humanity, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri was honored by the "World Book of Records" on June 14, 2022, at the British Parliament, a testament to his enduring impact on society.
