Dr N Gopalakrishnan was a popular indian speaker, scientist, writer and public speaker. He was born in 1955 in Kerala. He reowned for his work in the field of science and he also recieved six awards in scientific research. 

He made to the headlines with the news of his demise in April 2023. It is said that he collapsed while walking home. He was taken to the hospital but couldn't survive. PM Narendra Modi showed his tribute to the legend through his Twitter handle. Now talking about his early life, he was a well-educated man. He attended the government engineering college and also had bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also pursued M. Tech at IIT Madras. Later, he enrolled for Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore and also pursued PH.D in Aerospace Engineering. 

His father's name was Narayanan Embranthiri and mother's was Sathyabhama. He had four brothers and one sister. The names of Gopalakrishnan’s brothers are N Srinivasan, N Vasudevan, N Balachandran, and N Rajagopal. The name of Gopalakrishnan’s sister is Vanaja Srinivasan. The name of his wife was Rukmini. He was loved for his decent personality. He was dashing, talented and smart with cheerful face and smile. 

He worked as the director of National Aerospace Laboratories. Apart from this, he also worked as the Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation. He was also a part of Advanced Seismic Testing as well as the Research Laboratory of CSIR-SERC. As a speaker, he has talked on a ranges of topics with different types of audiences. He was seen giving speeches on spirituality, technology, philosophy and more. After his retirement, he got involved in science education and spreading awareness on the importance of the field in India. 

He was not just popular and honoured but also made huge wealth throughout his life.
