Indresh Upadhyay Ji was born into a very religious Hindu family. His father, Shri Krishnachandra Ji Thakur, was the one who helped the most in developing his talents for preaching and spiritual exercises, while his father's encouragement and mother Narvada Sharma supplied the necessary emotional and moral support, all throughout. The connection with God that the boy had became the core of the future spiritual mission.

When he was only 13 years old, he started reading and telling the Bhagavad Gita and the Bhagwat Katha, which was the beginning of his spiritual journey into the world of verticality. Later on, his great wisdom, oratorical skills, and very kind-heartedness drew a lot of devotees, and he even became one of them.

Indresh Upadhyay Ji says that devotion is the only source of happiness, along with self-realization and purity of heart. The ego must be given up, faith should be practiced consistently, and life must be led according to Krishna’s teachings; these are the main points of his teaching. Through Bhakti Yoga, he encourages people to remain spiritually connected while fulfilling worldly responsibilities.
