In one of his kathas he told how he started preaching Shrimad Bhagwat Katha. He told that in his village there was a lady named Geeta Bai Parashar who used to cook in different houses of the village. After the death of her husband, she decided to organize Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at her home. Pandit Pradeep, who was working as a Pandit in the village at that time, assured him that he would finalize his decision by reciting Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at his home.
However, Geeta Bai politely declined the offer and said that Pandit Pradeep did not have deeksha under any guru, so he cannot preach katha. He then went to Indore and took guru deeksha under Shree Govardhan Nath.
