Priyanka Arul Mohan is a popular actress in India, mainly in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada films. Often credited as Vaishnavi, the bubbly actress was born on 20th November 1994 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, and seems to have arrived in the South Indian film industry limelight well-equipped.
Early Life and Education
Priyanka was born to a Tamilian father, Arul Mohan, and a Kannadiga mother, Krishna Mohan. She has studied in Moodabidri’s Alva’s PU College and did Biological Engineering at PES University in Bangalore. In college, she became interested in acting, and she performed in various stage plays.
Career
Priyanka got her first tryst with movie acting in the year 2019 with the movie Ondh Kathe Hella a Kannada movie in which she acted as Aditi. The same year, she came into the limelight by performing Priya in the Telugu film ‘Nani’s Gangleader’, for which she was nominated for Best Female Debut – Telugu at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA).
This year, she made a debut in the Tamil film Industry with a film named “Doctor” where she acted with Sivakarthikeyan. Her acting as Padmini was appreciated, and through critical acclaim, she got the SIIMA award for Best Female Debut – Tamil. She also followed this success with pose roles in “Don,” released in 2022, and “Etharkkum Thunindhava,n, in 2022.
