Childhood and Schooling
Dr B. S. Rao was born on August 15, 1947, into a Brahmin family in Bengaluru, Andhra Pradesh village. He completed his undergraduate studies in the area and then spent 16 years practising medicine in Iran and the UK.

Going Back to India and the Vision of Education
Dr. Rao and his spouse, Dr. Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, established Sri Chaitanya Girls Junior College in Vijayawada, India, upon their return in 1986. Their goal was to offer top-notch instruction and career counselling, with a focus on opportunities in the technology sector, particularly for ladies.

Growth of the Learning Network
Motivated by their dedication, the couple extended their network of educational institutions across the country by providing courses in engineering, medical studies, intermediate studies, IIT-JEE, NEET, CA-CPT, and other competitive exams.

Family and Co-Founders

Bengaluru was home to Dr Rao's parents, Janamma and Nagabhushanam. Sushma and Seema, his two daughters with Dr. Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, are actively involved in running the institutions and carrying on their father's legacy.

Dr Rao was a visionary leader who revolutionised the intermediate education system in the Telugu states, allowing numerous students to follow their aspirations at esteemed universities. Sad Death and Final Words
On July 14, 2023, Dr. B. S. Rao went away in Hyderabad as a result of a heart attack that was reportedly caused by a tumble in the restroom. His final ceremonies were held at the main campus of Sri Chaitanya College in Tadigadapa, Vijayawada.

Maintaining the Tradition
Sushma and Seema, Dr. B. S. Rao's daughters, are devoted to carrying out their father's vision within the Sri Chaitanya Group of Institutions, so even after his passing, his legacy continues to thrive.
