Vijay is a south indian actor, producer and singer. His real name is Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar. He is well-known for his signature dance moves. He has a fan following not just in India but worldwide like China, US, Japan, UK, France and more. 

Talking about hsi early life, he was born in 1974 in Chennai and belongs to Roman Catholic. The actor completed his schooling from Balalok Matriculation Higher Secondary School and then went to Loyola College for his graduation in Visual Communication. Later, as he gained interest in acting as his career, he dropped college. He started his career as a child artist when he was 10 with the film, Vetri. His first film was directed by his father, S.A. Chandrasekhar. Later, he had acted in many films as a child artist like Kudumbam, Vasantha Raagam, Sattam Oru Vilayaattu, Ithu Engal Neethi and more. In 1992, he was seen in the film, Naalaiya Theerpu as the lead. His breakthrough was with the film, Poove Unakkaga. In 2002, he started opposite Priyanka Chopra in the film, Thamizhan. 

 He has a height of 178 cm and a body measurement of 40 inches chest, 30 inches waist and 14 inches biceps. He is a fit and healthy man who weights 73 kgs. His dark eyes and hair make him more dapper.
