Vinay Bidappa was born on March 4, 1984, in Bengaluru, India (previously known as Bangalore). He has a rich background in performing arts due to growing up in the vibrant artistic environment of Bangalore. Much is unknown about his father, but his mother has been most supportive. Through his exposure to the continually changing film industry in Bangalore, he developed acting aspirations.

Vinay is married to Manjushri, a professional hair and makeup artist, whom he married on November 25, 2012. They have been together for several years before their marriage. Their relationship is very special; they respect and care for one another. They have 1 child together, Niran, who was born on November 9, 2018. Vinay often credits his family as his source of strength and motivation.

Cinematic Career

Vinay’s acting career started with small roles in Kannada movies like Sharp Shooter (2015) and Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari, in which he shared the screen with the renowned actor Yash.

However, his significant acting breakthrough came with the film K.G.F: Chapter 1, which was directed by Prashanth Neel. In the film, he portrayed the role of Virat, who is the brother of the main antagonist. His performance in the film received huge recognition and appreciation from audiences all across India. Later, he again portrayed the same role in K.G.F: Chapter 2, which further established his position in the Kannada film industry.

The actor expanded his filmography through his performances in Yuvarathnaa and Vedha, which included his role as an antagonist. His ability to perform intense and authoritative roles has become one of his core strengths.

Hobbies and Personality

Vinay has achieved recognition beyond his acting career because of his multiple interests. He is a passionate foodie, a supporter of the Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL team, and a pet lover who previously owned a Tibetan Mastiff named Rudra.
