This one film old outsider actress starred in a sleeper hit a couple of years back. The biopic helmed by a talented filmmaker won over the critics & audience alike. It won the hero a lot of plaudits, but the debutante heroine was also noticed. She has since signed a few movies & one of them is up for release soon. As per a source, the actress has been dating a top comedian. The comedian was in the middle of a huge controversy last year. His talent based reality show, which had his signature jokes, was lapped up by the audience. There was even talk of him striking a lucrative deal with a streaming giant, but a podcaster who came to show as a judge ruined his plans with a tasteless remark. He had to take his show off his social media page. They are rumored to have been dating for more than six months. They have been seeing each other since May last year.

The comedian was hounded by the cops for his content. He was likely inspired by comedy shows abroad & was hoping that the Indian audience would also be open to such jokes. While there were some who were annoyed with the kind of jokes that were cracked on his show, it did raise the bar for comedy. The show was easily the most widely discussed one in the comedy genre back then. While it is common to hear about comics dating actresses in Hollywood, it is highly uncommon in India. Actresses are a highly paid lot & don't like to date down. They would rather date a married man than a commoner. But with comics raking in the big bucks from their online content, shows & brand deals, there are likely to be more instances of comics dating actresses in the future. Stars being highly paid & financially secure might also encourage them to look for partners who aren't filthy rich.
