Bollywood Blind Item: Newbie's Career Is Suffering

This newbie star kid's debut movie produced by a top studio was a blockbuster success. One would assume that he would have signed to multiple movies after his breakout success. But that doesn't seem to be the case. As per a source, the newbie star kid had signed the dreaded three film contract with the studio to land his Bollywood break. The newbie was offered several good scripts but couldn't accept any of them because of the three film contract with the studio. The contract states that the studio has veto power when it comes to the actor accpeting projects outside the studio. Another young, handsome actor who looks similar lapped those projects up. This has led to his career getting stalled. Even after delivering a blockbuster, he is unable to establish himself. The newbie is a worried man these days.

A hit web series nicely portrayed how these exploitative three film contracts have ruined several careers. The aforementioned studio is not the only one guilty of this practice. Several other studios & production houses are guilty. But there is sadly no law which prohibits them from making such one sided contracts. Nobody dares to challenge them. The music industry players are also notorious for such exploitative contracts.
