Bollywood Blind Item: Sequel To Comedy Blockbuster Might Get Shelved

A comedy produced by a nearly bankrupt producer turned out to be a blockbuster upon release more than a decade back. It was the biggest hit of the year. A sequel was discussed, but the producer's son started having an affair with the superstar's hottie sis-in-law. All hell broke loose & the superstar severed his ties with the producer & his family. This meant zero chance of a sequel featuring the superstar in the lead. The producer then started working with a talented director on the sequel which would not feature the superstar. His was more of an extended cameo anyway! The sequel was to star the producer's son - who is at the fag end of his career as a leading man, a young actor son of a director father & a singer-actor. The movie would have been another attempt to resurrect the producer's son's career. He badly needs a hit. There are rumors of him cheating on his much older GF. He cheated on her with a Bollywood outsider. The name of the woman with whom he cheated are unknown. Owing to the producer's budget issues & the incessant delay of the producer's sports movie which released recently after several years the studio decided to pull the plug.

The couple is trying to still make things work. There were rumors of a breakup sometime back. The producer & his family are not happy with the relationship. The GF too is not keen on getting married to him. This often leads to fights among the couple. It remains to be seen if their relationship is able to survive the odds.
