Bollywood Blind Item: Star Kid Quits Studio
Launching star kids has been a favorite pasttime of filmmakers. These star kids have a ready audience waiting for their onscreen debut. The curiosity of the audiences often translates to good box office receipts. Even if the movie fails, a good initial is literally guaranteed. That explains why many filmmakers are keen to sign these star kids for their acting career launches. Nobody's name has been more synonymous when it came to launching star kids more than this filmmaker-studio boss. He launched literally every other star kid in the last decade. If he wasn't launching them, then he was casting them in multiple projects post their launch. Every project bankrolled by him had star kids in them. While some star kids made it big, others were given multiple projects despite their movies flopping. He was even accused of snatching projects from talented outsiders & giving it to star kids. This led to a lot of anger against him. As per a source karma seems to have caught up with him. He was reveling in the attention celebs were giving him for being the godfather of their kids. But now the very same parents & their kids are disillusioned with him. His star kid studded movies are flopping & his brand is not what it used to be. He once had a great box office track record but not anymore. Star kids & their parents feel their careers will be better off with other studios. The fact that they are talentless & wouldn't have a career had it not been for him is totally lost on them. One star kid has quit his talent agency & many more are pondering over it. Him working with her ex-BF with whom she had an acrimonous breakup was also a major reason.
Star kids hoped that the filmmaker would boost their careers like he did for the daughter of another filmmaker. He went out of his way to recommend her to other filmmakers & snatch projects for her. It helped that she was very talented & with his help she went on to become the biggest challenger to the numero uno star. He obviously couln't help any other star kid to this extent as they lacked the level of talent required to make it big. Despite snatching projects, casting them in several of his own projects, they couldn't make it. Makes us wonder what more do they want him to do. It is actually a blessing in disguise for him. His box office standing has been damaged by the umpteen flops produced by his studio. He needs to go back to the drawing board & work on the quality of movies bankrolled bu his studio. He needs to stop craving for the attentions of star kids & their parents. Nobody can keep those entitled lot happy.
