Bollywood Blind Item: Superstar Disillusioned With His Upcoming Movie

He has been part of the industry for more than three decades & has always been in the top bracket. He was the undisputed numero uno superstar of the country over the previous decade. But his tardom has taken a huge hit post the pandemic. Except the sequel to his hit spy thriller franchise, he hasn't starred in a single hit. He is not even remotely in contention for the top spot anymore. As per a source, he has been worried with the response to the teaser of his upcoming war movie. While the script sounded interesting, the execution was found to be lacking. He was not excited with the rushes of the movie. It didn't help that a movie based on our country's enemity with the eastern neighbor doesn't elicit the passion that a movie based on our western enemy does. The movie is barely mentioned on Bollywood forums. He has been telling his friends that he doesn't expect the movie to perform well. 

The director of the movie in question has a chequered box office record. While he ahs delivered some hits, most of his films have flopped. Pulling off a war epic with a huge budget is not everybody's cup of tea. The superstar has been unable to cut his excess flab. To be fair to him, he is 60+. But all his contemporaries have managed to stay fit. He has time & again reinvented himself, but age might make it extremely difficult for him to make a comeback. His movie choices are a major issue. His formula of remaking South Indian hits is outdated. The South Indian stars & filmmakers have taken over the action genre. Will he be able to overcome the odds at this age?
