Bollywood Blind Item: Superstar & Filmmaker Are Fighting Over Movie's Release

This A-list superstar starred in a hit movie that released this year. It was his first hit in several years. He has been very choosy about his scripts. Apart from acting, he has also produced a period epic, based on a famous novel. The film stars another A-list actor & is directed by an accomplished filmmaker. The filmmaker has worked with another A-list superstar in several movies a few decades back. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the movie, as the filmmaker-superstar has made some iconic movies in the past. They had a fallout & did not work together for the longest time. But instead of cashing in on the hype, the A-list superstar producer is delaying its release. As per a source, the filmmaker has been frustrated with the movie's release getting delayed time & again. The hero & the filmmaker have vowed to never work with this producer again. The A-list producer wants the filmmaker to change the film's title, but the director feels the movie's essence will be lost if the title is changed. The producer wants no mention of the city of an enemy country in the movie title. But the filmmaker is right when he insists on the city's name being part of the movie's title, as it is literally a character in the movie.

The filmmaker & the superstar hero aren't wrong. If the producer had an issue with the subject, then he should not have made a movie on it. If the movie doesn't release as per schedule, then it will have a dated look by the time of its release. The hero has given two back-to-back hits & is seeing a resurgence in his career. He has another war epic lined up for release. But it must hurt to see two years of work not getting its due. Besides, Indian audiences aren't that finicky. They won't lash out at the makers just for basing their movie on a real life event based on a city in a rival country.
