Bollywood Blind Item: Superstar Is Not Keen On Reprising His Role
A superstar & a permanent A-lister whose movie released recently to an underwhelming response at the box office is being choosy about his scripts. While he has legions of fans, he hasn't had a big hit in several years. He needs a hit badly. A sequel to his action blockbuster franchise was in discussion. He was to star opposite another top superstar who has made a successful comeback of sorts by delivering two big hits in a year. They have done cameos in each other's movies & were tipped to clash against each other in a sequel. Their fans went berserk upon its announcement. As per a source, the superstar has declined to star in the sequel. He feels that he is done playing the character. That is brave considering the box office performance of his past few movies. He is rumored to pick movies based on the filmmaker who associated with it instead of the movie's script.
Fans had high hopes from his latest release. It had a good filmmaker & a top producer attached to it. The trailer had turned out well. However, sadly for the superstar, the movie was completely rejected by the moviegoing audiences upon release. He does have one movie with his mentor, but apart from that he hasn't announced any other movie. He needs to reinvent himself. His audiences seem to be bored of his current avatar. Fans felt that he looked disinterested in the movie & seemed to have sleepwalked through his role.
