Bollywood Blind Item: Superstar Might Back Off From Upcoming Project

Fans of this onscreen couple were delighted to read about them starting work on the sequel to a hit movie. The shoot is expected to start by the end of this month. The original movie went over budget & starred an A+ lister Bollywood couple who started dating while working on this movie. They later got married. The hero will be seen in the sequel, but his wife won't be the heroine of the sequel. As per a source, The Bollywood Queen who was supposed to star in the sequel is having second thoughts about starring in the movie. She recently announced her preganancy & is working on a pan-India movie. She is wondering whether she will be able to finish shooting for the Bollywood movie. Besides she is not keen on being directed by the filmmaker whose last movie met a lukewarm response at the box office despite starring big names. The sequel will be bankrolled by a studio which is producing the male superstar's next release - a big budget period epic movie. 

The movie is the passion project of the filmmaker & his superstar buddy. They waited for several years to find a studio willing to bankroll their movie. The original movie was delayed & had gone over budget. This put a lot of financial strain on the studio which produced the original. The studio boss was in no mood to relive that experience with a sequel. It is not clear whether that studio will be involved in the making of the sequel in any way.
