Bollywood Blind Item: Superstar Offered Villain's Role

A superstar known for his Greed God looks badly needs a hit. His last movie was declared a box office hit but was an under-performer. While he is a big star, much younger stars are now competing with him for the No.4-6 slot. It is now a foregone conclusion that he lacks the fire to become the numero uno star of Bollywood. He needs some big hits to remain a challenger to the Bollywood throne. The villain's role in a movie directed by the country's biggest filmmaker could be a great move. The filmmaker has offered him the role of the villain in his upcoming adventure flick which is based on a blockbuster Hollywood movie franchise. If the Bollywood superstar accepts the part, then it will be a casting coup of sorts. The movie will star a South Indian hero who boasted about Bollywood not being able to afford him - a lame attempt at pleasing his core fans. It is his string of slops & the insecurity that accompanied it that probably led to such a comment. It made him look like a moron & his core fans too did not bother to see his subsequent movies. Karma! 

Starring in a movie made by the filmmaker in question means a surefire hit. While one can't predict whether it will rain during the monsoons or whether the sun might be out tomorrow, one can say with surety that this filmmaker's movie will be a blockbuster. He after all made a hit film based on an annoying insect! Fans of the Bollywood Greek God will have a lot to look forward to if he accepts to star in the project. The superstar is known to take his time before greenlighting a project. Sadly for him, despite being choosy about his projects, his box office track record has been patchy lately.
