He is a superstar with a global fan base. His fan following can fill several stadiums & his fans gathering outside his mansion on his birthday leads to traffic jams. Apart from his undeniable acting talent, what added to his allure is his story of an outsider with little or no money making it to the very top of the Bollywood pyramid. A source who has worked in several movies has debunked the superstar's claim of belonging to a lower-middle-class family. As per our source, the superstar's father was not as hard pushed for money as the superstar claims & was in fact an affluent kerosene dealer. The source claims that the superstar had invested 20-25L of his own money in his debut movie! 25L was a princely sum in the early 90's when he made his Bollywood debut. It's definitely not a sum that an actor who claims to belong to a family with limited means could afford. Considering his current net worth, the investment of 25L was a very wise investment.
The source went on to add that the superstar could spin the narrative as not much was known about him & his family as they were based out of another city.
