He was having an affair with a Bollywood actress on the sets of their movie several years back. His wife came to know about it & gave him a chance to mend his ways. While he did cut his ties with the Bollywood actress, he went back to his old ways eventually. He started meeting the Bollywood actress again & was caught by his wife red-handed. The wife is rumored to be in no mood to forgive him this time around & a split might be announced soon. A publication was about to publish the identity of the director's GF, but he paid them to bury the story.

The filmmaker's latest release has turned out to be a huge success, just like his previous movies. He has a great track record at the box office, with his movies rarely flopping.
