This writer-director had a dream run for several years. His cringe-fest movies of a hit box office franchise surprisingly managed to hit the bull's eye at the box office. He was even successful as a writer for several movies. But the past few years have nearly finished his career as a filmmaker. As per a source, the hero of a recently released under-performer held a special screening for close friends. They candidly spoke about how the movie was likely to not do well & how the director was to blame. They advised him to stay away from the director in the future. The big-ticket movie's underperformance also may lead to his ouster from two other hit franchise sequels. While he may keep getting writing projects, his days as a director are over.

The underperforming movie's original producer had told the hero - an egoistic superstar, during the pre-production stage itself that the movie is unlikely to do well. Instead of cutting his losses, the superstar decided to produce the movie himself. What the audiences got was one of his typical formulaic movies, which they are now bored of. Thankfully, his upcoming movie is an all-out actioner.
