OI Original: Reason Why The Heartthrob Was Sacked

Bollywood fans the world over are dying to know why a young heartthrob was sacked by a top multi-hyphenate filmmaker. The production house cited professional issues & released a statement confirming that the movie in question would be re-shot with a new cast. While they mentioned that they would maintain a 'dignified silence' over the issue, the head honcho of the production house wasted no time in getting his PR machinery activated & ensuring that the whole world is made aware of the young heartthrob's 'unprofessional behavior' being the reason behind his sacking. His PR machinery went berserk & attacked the young heartthrob. The extent of the damage to the young heartthrob's career is not yet clear. 

On the other hand, it was the young heartthrob & his PR who have maintained a dignified silence over the issue. Is it fear or is good upbringing? Time will tell.

 But what exactly happened? As per industry insiders, creative differences were the reason behind the fallout. While the young heartthrob was hoping to land a project by one of the better-known directors from the stable, the director helming the project was a newbie. After filming for several days, he was convinced that the movie was not shaping up as well as he hoped for & asked the production house to make some changes.  The heartthrob's suggestions were shot down by the head honcho. The young heartthrob retaliated by not giving his dates for the next schedule of the project. Only on being prodded did the heartthrob made his displeasure clear. This irked the head honcho no end & he ended up sacking the heartthrob from the project.

But what we couldn't help but notice is that a star kid who did almost the exact same thing a year back did not face half of the consequences. While he will continue to be considered for future projects, the young heartthrob has been banned forever. There was no PR overdrive when the star kid's project was shelved. After all his daddy is on back-patting terms with several big stars. The star kid's mom &  the head honcho's mom are friends.

But how dare this outsider, who lacks the level of sophistication akin to Bollywood insiders, who is not yet an A+ lister throw a tantrum? Has he forgotten that the head honcho in question is some sort of a cinematic genius? This line of thinking was the biggest reason behind the fallout. Truth is that head honcho is clearly biased towards industry insiders. While he may be a cinematic genius, he is a certified snob. 

This fallout must have made several of the heartthrob's rivals including the aforementioned star kid very happy. But all it will take are a few hits & some time for the head honcho to go running back to the heartthrob. On the other hand, if the heartthrob fails to deliver, he will be forgotten in no time. Our money is on the young heartthrob surviving in the industry at least for a decade more - after all, he has struggled way too much to give it all up.
