PSL 2025: Points Table, Standings & Rankings

Top of the Table

The rankings that followed have come up after the league phase of PSL 2025:

The Quetta Gladiators lorded it over the others, with 7 wins out of 10 matches, thus gaining 15 points and a strong Net Run Rate (NRR) of about +1.393.

Islamabad United came in second, while Karachi Kings were in third; both on 12 points but with different NRRs (+0.372 for Islamabad and +0.049 for Karachi).

The Lahore Qalandars finished fourth in the playoffs with 11 points and a +1.036 NRR, just enough to secure them a place in the KO rounds.

Middle & Lower Table

Peshawar Zalmi was the last team to finish with 8 points and an NRR of –0.293, barely below the top four.

The Multan Sultans had an extremely tough season, ending their run with only 1 win and 2 points from 10 matches, plus an NRR of –2.449 — virtually killing off their playoff hopes.

How the Table Shaped Up

10 matches were played by each team in the group stage.

2 points for a win, 0 points for a loss, and normally 1 point for no result were the points distribution.
NRR was a very important factor since several teams ended up having the same points, which was why it was the first tiebreaker for rankings.

The top four teams moved on to the playoffs while the bottom two teams were out of contention.

Why This is Important

The standings give a picture of the entire story, not just wins and losses, but, in addition, this domination (via NRR) — teams with bigger victories and less tight losses got the advantage over others.

For fans and pundits, following the standings allows them to discern at a glance the teams with the flow, the teams that are in the hot seat and the teams that need to triumph just to remain in contention.

Overview

The PSL table set a clear order in 2025: Quetta Gladiators stood at the top, Islamabad United and Karachi Kings were in a tough battle for the second place, and Lahore Qalandars secured the last spot for the playoffs. On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi was very close, and Multan Sultans did not meet expectations. The table, in general, indicated a clear picture of form, strength, and possible outcomes in the knockout stages.
