Abhishek Bachchan Starts Shooting For KD Remake

ABHISHEK BACHCHAN has started shooting for his next film which will be Hindi Remake of Tamil Film 'KD' in SEHORE (Madhya Pradesh) as well as will also be shot in parts of BHOPAL over next TWO Months

Produced by EMMAY ENTERTAINMENT (Nikkhil Advani) and YOODLEE FILMS (Saregama), this SLICE OF LIFE Film will be directed by MADHUMITA SUNDERRAMAN, who wrote and directed the Tamil Film as well and has adapted the script as per sensibilities of Hindi audience. ABHISHEK will play the role of an ELDERLY MAN who wakes up from a COMATOSE and finds out that his family is planning to KILL him through EUTHANASIA and he ends up RUNNING away from his family in lieu of being afraid and Heartbroken. The story centers around his relationship with an 8 YEAR OLD KID, whom he met after running away from his family and wandering on an aimless path and how that relationship helps him to understand the meaning of life and the importance of living it on your own terms to the fullest without looking age as a deterrent forms the crux of the story

ABHISHEK is said to have agreed to do the film in one narration as he loved the story along with feel good treatment given to the script while retaining the core theme of this unusual bond between an ELDERLY MAN and an 8 YEAR OLD ORPHAN. The shoot of this film is likely to be completed by END of JANUARY and would release by MID 2023, while ABHISHEK has TWO MORE Releases scheduled in 2023 - R BALKI's next directorial 'GHOOMER', a Sports Drama centers around a CRICKETER (Saiyami Kher) and her COACH (Abhishek) and also stars ANGAD BEDI, SHIVENDRA SINGH DUNGARPUR as well as NEENA GUPTA and Hindi Remake of Tamil Crime Thriller 'OTHTHA SERUPPA SIZE 7' where he plays an Emotionally Unstable Murder Suspect. Other than this, he has also signed a film with MADDOCK FILMS as well which will roll out in MID 2023. MADHUMITA, on the other hand, has completed Post Production on her debut Hindi film which is a REMAKE of Malyalam Cult film 'ANGAMALY DIARIES', which also marks the debut of ARJUN DAS (Kaithi, Master) in Hindi films and is produced by ABUNDATIA ENTERTAINMENT (Vikram Malhotra). This film is currently scheduled to release in FIRST QUARTER of 2023.
