Akshay Kumar & Ananya Pandey To Star In Sankaran Nair Biopic

AKSHAY KUMAR and ANANYA PANDEY are likely to come on board to play the lead role in the biopic of late C SANKARAN NAIR, tentatively titled 'THE UNTOLD STORY OF C. SANKARAN NAIR' which will be a co-production between DHARMA PRODUCTIONS and STILL & STILL MOTION PICTURES (Anand Tiwari and Amritpal Singh Bindra) and will be directed by KARAN SINGH TYAGI

Based on the book 'THE CASE THAT SHOOK INDIA' written by RAGHU and PUSHPA PALAT, the film chronicles the journey of a Courtroom Drama where NAIR, played by AKSHAY KUMAR along with his Junior Lawyer played by ANANYA PANDEY, will take on BRITISH EMPIRE in a LONDON based Court to uncover the role of Punjab's Lieutenant Governor MICHAEL O DWYER in JALLIANWALA BAGH MASSACRE

This film will go on floors after AKSHAY wraps up shoot of SELFIEE and a major chunk of SOORARAI POTTRU's Remake and would possibly be a 2023 Release. Other than this, AKSHAY has 3-4 releases lined up in 2022 which includes RAKSHA BANDHAN, MISSION CINDRELLA and RAM SETU as confirmed ones. On the other hand, ANANYA has only ONE release coming in 2022 which would be VIJAY DEVERAKONDA starrer LIGER and is currently working on her next with ADARSH GOURAV and SIDDHANT CHATURVEDI titled 'KHO GAYE HUM KAHAAN'.
