Akshay Kumar's Marathi Debut With Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat: "It's A Big Responsibility"

In Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat, Akshay Kumar will play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

 

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar will make his Marathi debut in the film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The announcement was made at the periodic drama's muhurat ceremony on Wednesday in Mumbai. Mahesh Manjrekar was dressed traditionally, while Akshay Kumar looked dashing in a white shirt and black pants. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MNS chief Raj Thackeray also attended the event. According to a PTI report, the actor will play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the film. Speaking about his role, Akshay Kumar revealed that it is a dream come true, but it also comes with a lot of responsibility. "It means a lot to me to play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It is a huge responsibility to play such a legendary figure. This makes me very happy. It's a role that's a dream come true. It is a massive task, and I assure you that I will do my absolute best "According to PTI, Akshay Kumar said.

During the event, Mahesh Manjeraker expressed his desire to work with Akshay Kumar. "It had always been my dream to work with Akshay. And I couldn't imagine any other actor playing this part but him. We wanted a specific personality and appearance, and Akshay had the right image to play a Hindu raja "According to PTI, the director said.

Vaseem Qureshi's Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat is set to be released in theatres on Diwali 2023. The film will be available in four regional languages: Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.


Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar was most recently seen in the film Ram Setu. He will next be seen in the Hindi remake of Selfiee and Soorarai Pottru.
