All Harry Potter Movies Ranked from Worst to Best

The Harry Potter franchise is a global phenomenon. The craze for Harry Potter is still alive even after 13 years since the last book is released. The last movie was hit in the theatres nine years ago. Harry Potter can be seen everywhere, whether it be theme parks, freeform marathons, video games and of course the novels. The quality of story that J K Rowling narrated over 20 years ago is unparalleled.

Harry Potter is not only about the books. Hollywood made it a global franchise through movies. People loved it like no other. After a year of release of fourth book, the first film of Harry Potter was released. The level of quality was very nice as compared to other film series and they were able to maintain it throughout the franchise. The franchise remains popular now as it was a decade ago.

Let’s rank the movies from worst to best:

8. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

It is the longest movie of the series and perhaps the last film to try and fit everything from the book into the movie. Though it is enjoyable enough, it doesn’t quite live up to the brilliance of the rest of the franchise.

7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

It is half a story and presented as a separate entry into the Harry Potter series. The film works beautifully as a part of a whole but as a standalone film it leaves plenty to be desired.

6. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Goblet of Fire is arguably Rowling’s best novel in the entire series but it is not the best movie.

5. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

The lightest film of the series and works wonderfully as a fantastic entry in the Potter’s franchise.

4. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

3. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
