Are Two Hero Projects Back?

The age of streaming has revived the two-hero story genre again with the recent release of RRR starring Ram Charan and N.T.Rama Rao Jr. Citing past examples of ‘Andaz Apna Apna’,’ Partner’, ‘Ishq’, ‘Sholay’ worked at the box office but things gradually changed when solo hero films became a trend.

Now the trend is changing, when there is only one hero and there are people around him like a sister, brother or friends. There is a change in the number of heroes whether in antagonist or protagonist roles.

Rightly so, the directors have been praised for giving opportunities to the newcomers, writers, and creators to work with each other at the same time. This also promotes the stardom of the celebrities at the release. Not only this, but it will also affect the storyline completely. Instead of revolving the story around a singular point and reaching an expected conclusion, it will have much more variety in it. The story will cross the hurdle of predictability adding a thrill to the story. Apart from this, producers like the two-hero projects as it makes the project more salable.

Looking at the upcoming projects, like Pathaan starring SRK and John Abraham, Tiger Zinda Hai 2 starring Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi, Selfiee starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, it is quite clear that Bollywood is adopting two hero projects again.
