LOKESH KANAGARAJ's next starring THALAPATHY VIJAY tentatively titled 'THALAPATHY 67' will see the actor playing the role of a GANGSTER who is in his 40's and will have Dark shades in his character

The film will be bankrolled by 7 SCREEN STUDIOS who previously worked with the duo in MASTER. SANJAY DUTT and SAMANTHA are said to have been approached to play pivotal roles in the film, with DUTT being LOKESH's first choice to play the role of ANTAGONIST in this film

Even though the director have made it clear that it is a STANDALONE film, it is been rumoured that the film will likely to feature certain references of KAITHI and VIKRAM and the possibility of VIJAY being a part of Lokesh's Cinematic universe is not ruled out. Lokesh is said to have a basic idea of a universe comprising of 2 STALWART GANGSTERS, A PRISONER and A GROUP OF AGENTS as the key players

Lokesh is said to have modeled THALAPATHY's character around the one played by RAJINIKANTH in BAASHA and the actor will sport a 'Salt and Pepper' look. The film will also have certain flashback sequences featuring younger version of himself. The director is currently penning final draft of the script and will take thr film on floors in END 2022

Post this, LOKESH will return to his universe and will work on KAITHI 2 as well as VIKRAM 3 and is also said to be signed to direct a SUPERHERO Film with SURIYA in the lead which is inspired from a DC Comic 'THE IRON CLAW'.
