Ekta Kapoor To Produce The Dirty Picture 2

EKTA KAPOOR has hired KANIKA DHILLON to co-write the script along with an unnamed Male Writer (Not Rajatt Aroraa) for 'THE DIRTY PICTURE 2'

Ekta Kapoor is set to turn this film into a FRANCHISE  consisting of bold, sexy, and colorful stories of  powerful women in every film under the franchise, being told in a very mainstream and commercial way. The writers have been asked to complete the scripting work by end of 2022 with the intention to start shooting by MID 2023 or 2023 Q1

EKTA had earlier pitched the idea of this film to KANGANA RANAUT, but she REJECTED it as it would affect her Righteous image in a negative way. Recently, TAAPSEE PANNU and KRITI SANON, among other actresses, have held meetings with Ekta and showed their interest to take over the baton from VIDYA BALAN to lead the franchise, but they have been asked to wait till the scripting gets completed and final draft is ready for narration

RAJAT ARORAA had declined Ekta's request to write 'The Dirty Picture 2' with KANIKA DHILLON as he was tied up with other writing assignment and it is unclear whether MILAN LUTHRIA would return to direct the Sequel as well. But, Ekta is keen to bring BALAJI back on track in thr Box Office with the Sequel of one of their most successful films 13 YEARS after the first film with the sequel being earmarked for a 2024 Release.
