Hrithik Roshan's Shocking Reaction After Watching Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui!

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, the recent Bollywood movie by director Abhishek Kapoor, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor has received a lot of applause from the audience. Even though people were not much excited about the movie after watching the trailer, the response was unexpected after the film was released. The reason why some people were put off after watching the trailer of the film is that the movie seemed to be extremely mainstream. It appeared to be a typical Bollywood rom-com. But after its release, it received a lot of love from the audience. Bollywood hero Hrithik Roshan was one of the viewers who loved the film.

During an interview with Mayukh Majumdar, who is a content strategist of Filmfare, the director of the film, Abhishek Kapoor, recalled actor Hrithik Roshan’s reaction after watching the movie. After watching the movie, Hrithik called up the director and gave his honest and pure reaction as a viewer, which kind of moved Abhishek Kapoor. Hrithik said that Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui was one of the best movies that he had ever watched. On hearing this, when the director of the movie asked him if he was exaggerating, Hrithik claimed that he was speaking about what he truly felt. He praised the director’s courage to have made such a mainstream movie and doing so with so much dedication, almost forgetting the risk that it carried. On hearing these comments by the actor, Abhishek heaved a sigh of relief and reassured himself that he had done the right job by making the film.

Further in the interview, Abhishek Kapoor explained his view of the film and why he had stuck with such a mainstream storyline. He said he wanted to create a simple movie with a simple story. But some people found the movie too simple because the audience always expects to watch something different and complicated and often feel like simple things cannot happen in movies. The director proudly claimed that he indeed wanted to create a simple movie and he did so successfully. He further stated that creating something simple is not as easy as it looks. It is a notch up the difficulty scale since, to create something simple, you first need to go through the complicated parts in your head, unknot them mentally, and then present something simple for the audience to enjoy. This is a big challenge as a director, and to get discouraged in the name of making a very simple movie is wrong on many levels. The film has been doing great at the box office and the actors have performed phenomenally on screen, and we wish to see them together more often!
