Is Ayushmann Khurrana’s Two Back To Back Flops A Reason To Worry?

Ayushmann Khurrana is among the most versatile and successful actors in Bollywood. In the ten years of his acting career, he gave the best movies to Bollywood. Making his debut with superhit, Vicky Donor to moving Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Andhadun, Badhai Ho, Dream Girl, Hawaizaada, Nautanki Saala, and many more are among his top hits Bollywood content. However, with the flop of his last two latest movie releases of Shubh Mangal Savdhaan and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui he got a depletion in his career. What could be a major reason behind his major flop apart from homophobia? It might be a valid reason behind his movies not being accepted in Indian society. The generation is no matter changing, lifestyles, likes/dislikes, mentality but Indians are still farther in accepting homosexuality in their society and do not give many preferences even in the movies. Since both the movies- Shubh Mangal Savdhaan (normalizing homosexuality)and Chandigarh Kare Ashiqui (normalizing transgender recognition) both had a co-relative message.

Despite his flops, he is still encouraged for choosing unconventional projects for which he has been applauded for highlighting the social matter in a sensitive way. He has previously starred in erectile dysfunction comedy Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, gay comedy Shubh Mangal Zaada Savdhaan, old-age pregnancy in Badhai Do. He has always worked in the promising lineup of movies, no matter what the outcome is. He is a talented actor securing a special position in Bollywood with his different lineup of movies presented in a “comic genre”.
