Kartik Aryan has taken over the internet after the announcement of Ashiqui 3. The original 1990s Ashiqui was super hit with Anu Agarwal and Rahul Roy. The franchise was revived in 2013 with Aditya Roy Kapur and Sharaddha Kapoor, both the actors did a fab job and made thr film a box office success. 

Ever since the announcement, we are keen to know who is going to be the female lead in the film, that is, the love interest of Kartik Aryan. Will it be Shraddha Kapoor? There are rumours that either Jennifer Winget or Shraddha is going to be the part of the project. 

Now, the makers have issued an official statement and said: "There is no truth to any rumours pertaining to the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan in ‘Aashiqui 3.’ The search for the perfect fit for the movie is still ongoing. We are currently in a very early stage where we are still coming up with ideas for the movie. Much like the audience, we are eagerly awaiting to finalise the female lead of the film and would love to share it with the fans as early as possible."
