KGF2 Breaks Hindi Box Office Records. Why Does Bollywood Need To Buck Up?

The recent release and blockbuster opening of KGF 2, directed and written by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, is doing great at the box office and is on the verge of creating history. It has broken all the records set by S.S.Rajamouli’s Bahubali, Avengers: Endgame. Not only has the movie had a grand opening, but it has also received great reviews. Along with Sanjay Dutt, Yash and Raveena Tandon’s acting is well appreciated in the film.

As per the records, KGF2 has collected Rs. 260-270 crores, combining its release in all the languages. Whereas other Bollywood films released recently are facing tough competition with it. Not particularly with it, but with the South Indian movies. Apart from KGF 2, RRR and Pushpa too broke many records set by Bollywood movies. Bollywood is losing touch with the masses. South Indian movies are rooted in Indian culture while Bollywood is busy aping Hollywood. Somewhere they have lost our Indian culture in the movies. In the south, they have such a strong ethos about their culture and their customs and rituals. When the movies revolve around those kinds of stories. They are immediately identified bu the masses and they become super hits.

Bollywood is seriously lacking in good scripts and they need to buck up and pull up their socks as soon as possible, else there will be one day when they will be reduced to playing second fiddle to South Indian movie stars.
