Parineeti Chopra on trolls: "Social media is too negative and toxic," she says.

Parineeti Chopra, marked her Bollywood debut with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl

Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl marked Parineeti Chopra's Bollywood debut. She went on to work on films such as Ishaqzaade, Shudh Desi Romance, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, and others. Parineeti Chopra has come a long way since her debut and has experienced her fair share of professional ups and downs. However, the actress, who was recently seen in Code Name Tiranga, is frequently targeted by trolls. Trolls make fun of the actress's appearance, including her weight.

When it comes to trolls, Parineeti Chopra told a story about a senior actor who was a popular actor in the 1990s.

"The actor told me that in the 1990s when they stepped out and the paps used to click their photos," Parineeti Chopra said of the incident. The paparazzi used to argue amongst themselves, "I took a better picture than you." But, in the end, the best of the bunch was chosen and printed."

Parineeti Chopra added, “But today the scenario has changed, today if there is a wardrobe malfunction, or an actor says something weird, these things are posted first. This proves that how much the entire scenario has changed, the audience is now consuming mostly negativity. It has become so negative and toxic. There are people who are quitting socal media today because though we are trying to be positive it is impossible as the social media has become too negative.”

"Today, a kind act or a compliment are not appreciated, but if you fight with someone or say something wrong about someone, it will go viral." That is a disadvantage of social media, so we try to say something positive and share some good things on our pages. "I want to show readers that they can read positive things as well," says Parineeti Chopra.
