Sara Ali Khan To Star in Ae Watan Mere Watan to be Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment for Amazon Prime Video

KETAN MEHTA (Manjhi, Mangal Pandey) has announced his directorial will be based on the life of his aunt USHA MEHTA who was a Freedom Fighter during the 1942's QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT and was responsible to establish a secret, underground radio station to provide the news of the movement to the people of India by taking great personal risk, in order to keep the spirit of freedom going among the Indians. This film will be produced by ANUBHAV SINHA under his banner BENARAS FILMWORKS and is being said as KETAN's most ambitious project till date

However, KARAN JOHAR, under his banner DHARMATIC ENTERTAINMENT, had already announced biopic on USHA MEHTA as well to be released on AMAZON PRIME VIDEO. Titled 'AYE WATAN MERE WATAN', this film will star SARA ALI KHAN playing USHA MEHTA and will be directed by KANNAN IYER (Ek Thi Daayan), who co-wrote the film along with DARAB FAAROQUI (Dedh Ishqiya) and is scheduled for a 2023 release digitally.
