Top Yoga Poses to Help You Sleep Better& Cure Insomnia

 

Yoga is the solution to all your health related problems. No matter if you are tensed or tired, sleep deprived or suffering from indigestion problems, yoga has the solution for all. There is no single style or sequence of yoga that is ideal for everyone. Different postures and practices are there according to the person’s physical and mental fitness. It is a simple equation of easy movement and measured breathing which instigate your parasympathetic nervous system which results in physical and psychological relaxation.

Some of the yoga poses that can help us to get a good night sleep are:

  1. Utthan Pristhasana (Lizard Pose)

It is a simple exercise where you need to bring your left foot forward between your hands and lower your right knee to the floor. Then we have to walk our left foot to the outer edge of your mat and place the elbows or forearms on a block or the floor and do it for 10 – 15 breaths.

  1. Uttanasana (Standing Forward Bend)

We have to walk our feet to our hands like a downward facing dog. Then shift our feet hip width apart or even a little wider and bring a slight bend to your knees. We will loosely hold the opposite elbows and keep a relax grip in our hands or let our hands rest alongside our feet.
